Eric Donnenfeld, MD

Eric Donnenfeld, MD, is a founding partner of Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island.  He has served as President of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) the International Intraocular Implant Club (IIIC), and the Ocular Microbiology Group (OMIG). He is a clinical professor of ophthalmology at New York University and a trustee of Dartmouth Medical School. Dr. Donnenfeld was recognized on Ophthalmology Management’s 25 Leaders in Innovation list and was named to The Ophthalmologist’s Power List multiple times, including in 2025. He was also named America’s Best Eye Doctor in 2021, 2022 and 2023 by Newsweek Magazine.
